Sean Stiegemeier: It is essentially just a bunch of pictures taken over a period of time. In this volcano video some of the shots would be taken over a 30 minute to 1.5 hour period. But I have done some shots in the past for over 8hrs. There are also videos out there of doing time-lapses for a whole year.
